Job Vacancies - NHTA are looking for new members of staff!





Qualified to NVQ Level 3 in Hairdressing with Assessors Award and a minimum of 2 years experience in work based learning. Minimum teaching qualification (DTTLS or equivalent) are required or working towards will be accepted.
Ability to work as part of a team to support learners’ individual learning needs together with a sound understanding of awarding body standards are essential.
Proven ability in communication, planning, paperwork, application and flexibility are also considered essential.

Salary £18,500 per annum – negotiable dependent upon experience and qualifications.
Hours: Full Time.

£1500 EMPLOYER GRANT


Have you not taken on an Apprentice since April 2009 or are you a new salon or have you changed ownership? Would you agree to employ a 16 - 24 year old Apprentice for a minimum of 30 hours a week with a wage of 2.60 an hour?
Then you are eligible for the new Apprenticeship grant!
Employers can benefit up to a maximum of 3 grants if you take on 3 Apprentices.

Nottingham Training Network Awards 2012

Ronald Masters Hairdressing - Runners Up in the Employer of the Year Award 2012
NTN hold a yearly Awards event where training providers and colleges from any sector can nominate extraordinary learners or employers who deserve recognition for all their achievements.
It is a closely judged event and we are proud to announce that this year we have had two winners and a runner-up from NHTA. Laura Dalby was the winner for the Intermidiate Apprentice of the Year Award, Cast Hairdressing were the winners of the Employer of the Year Award and Ronald Masters Hairdressing were runners up in the Employer of the Year Award. All the awards are closely contested and there are many, many applicants for the catergories leading to just 2 runners up and a winner for each. It is great recognition for Cast, Ronald Masters and Laura of their outstanding achievement, passion and commitment. Well done to you all!

NTN Advanced Apprentice Graduation








On the 27th January 2012 Nottingham Training Network held a Graduation for learners across many sectors who have acheived an NVQ Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship framework.

NHTA had 7 learners graduating - Congratulations to Lisa Nightingale, Carrie Johnson, Kelsie Sarfas, Laura Griffiths, Natasha Cunnington, Jade Moisey and Charlotte Preston.

GREAT NEWS - NEW Barbering Course Available.



NHTA are starting a new group of Barbering Apprentices to start at the end of January 2012.
If you would like to be a Barber or if you are already placed in a barbershop or a salon and would like to complete your NVQ Level 2 then NHTA can help you - we may also be able to get you funding so you wouldn't have to pay a penny to do the course.
